Last year Michael and Al connected with us through Easter Seals, and we are so fortunate that they did. They help in so many ways. During good weather, Michael and Al work as team, every week, keeping the grounds of the Hinchey House in top shape. The Hinchey House sits on four acres, with an assortment of mature maple, oak and elm trees. That’s a lot of twigs, branches and leaves they have cleaned up. It’s a never ending job ! With their attention, the grounds are looking great. Be sure to notice when you drive by.
In the winter months, they shovel the walk, and also work inside; they recently did the heavy work of relocating a collection of books in the house. And, in December the GHS received many compliments on our outside holiday decorations. Michael and Al were so helpful on that project, carrying decorations down from the attic, and of course, back up again in January.
Thanks to Michael and Al for everything they do for the Gates Historical Society.
