Eva Allerton Nursing History Lecture

The second annual Eva Allerton Nursing History Lecture will be held on April 7, 2020. We are pleased to announce that Gertrude B. Hutchinson, DNS, RN, MA, MSIS, CCRN-R, Assistant Professor of Nursing at Russel Sage Collage of Nursing (Troy, N. Y.) will be our speaker. Dr. Hutchinson’s program, “Oh my daughter, I wish you were a boy”: Women’s Activists’ Voices from the Past Still Speak to Us Today, will discuss the connections between nursing and women’s suffrage and their relevance today.

The program, sponsored by the Rochester Medical Museum and Archives and the Rochester Academy of Medicine, will be held at the Academy (Located at 1441 East Avenue in Rochester.) The program is open to all ages, especially those interested in nursing, nursing history, and women’s history.
